Since primitive tribes, phallus worship has been found in many different places and in many different forms. The phallus symbolises strength, power, authority, general spiritualisation. The seed is considered the embodiment and source of life force. In ancient Indian mythology it is identified with the absolute ideal beginning underlying the universe.
Special importance was attached to the erect penis, the sight of which, according to the beliefs of many peoples, should inspire fear and reverence in others. The ancients endowed the erect penis with a special protective and deterrent power. Almost all peoples had a cult in which the phallus was regarded as a profound religious symbol. In Ancient Rome, children wore amulets in the form of a phallus around their necks as a means of protection against evil. Images of the phallus made of bronze or stone served as jewellery for women, giant images of it were erected in temples.

Valerii Filipchenko (Val Filip Art) photo artist, sculptor and designer. Through his work Valerii Filipchenko strives to capture scenes of deep sensuality, aesthetics and eroticism through the Japanese art of kinbaku and bdsm paraphernalia. This is evident in each meticulously crafted photograph that celebrates the beauty and aesthetics of the female body.
His photographs and sculptures invite viewers to immerse themselves in a mysterious realm of sensuality and ion. His sometimes provocative and striking works evoke an unparalleled sense of intimacy and attraction.
