Dans mon atelier à Valgorge, petit village des Cevennes Ardéchoise, je développe une réflexion autour de la sculpture en explorant des matériaux tel que le bois et l’acier. Ce travail se nourrit des différentes pratiques qui se lient dans mon quotidien, le dessin, le son, la lutherie expérimentale, la ferronnerie, la construction.

De mes expérimentations sur le bois et l’acier émergent des figures hybrides, humaines, animales ou végétales qui se répondent et se complètent donnant lieu à différentes mis en scène. Des bas-reliefs digèrent les maux de notre société, des monstres venant d'un nouveau monde prennent l’aspect d’icônes merveilleuses ; des allusions aux crises environnementales, aux questionnements de genres et aux problématiques sociales de notre époque s’infiltrent dans ce qui entourent notre quotidien, les meubles et les architectures.

En développant cette recherche plastique et onirique, je tends à construire mon propre langage. Ce langage conçoit la sculpture comme une matérialisation concrète de l’inconscient individuel et collectif, entre rêve et cauchemar, il prend la forme d’un monde plein de mystères et de paradoxes et tend à construire de nouveaux imaginaires.

Cet univers fantastique et merveilleux se nourrit d’inspirations variées, allant aussi bien des sculptures de la Grèce antique, d’Afrique, d’Egypte ou du moyen-orient que de l’art moderne du XXe siècle. Il s’imprègne également d’éléments contemporains comme le cinéma fantastique et de science-fiction, le spectacle vivant, la bande dessinée, mais aussi des images de la culture pop, de l’actualité et de la vie dans le monde rurale des montagnes ardéchoises.
