Origin (2025) Painting by Silvia Sas

 Silvia Sas combined her university studies in physics and chemistry with her great ion, painting; has spent much of her life in workshops, first, training with great professionals and then creating her own studio in Girona, Spain. There, she had her gallery, and, at present, she has moved her studio to the outskirts of Barcelona, located near Vilassar de Mar, where she enjoys both the sea and the forests of the natural park.  

 Her colleagues call her ‘the painter of light’ because of the power of her paintings. Her specialisation in the scientific field of astrophysics made it a constant in her paintings to capture light, its energy, and transmit it in all its splendour.  

Since moving to her new location, her main commercialization is online, from where she sells all over the world. She also makes large commissioned works and gives the option to create, on demand, original works in different standard sizes. 

"My paintings, figurative and abstract, are based on landscapes, motives and sensations of real life, sensations such as the awakening in meditation, the flowing of time, the depth of the ocean or the intensity of fire; real motives such as a storm, the cold of a city, the warmth of a landscape, the evolution of a constellation or the movement of a woman walking with her child. 

I combine different materials, colours and techniques, both learned in the different workshops where I have been trained and innovative ones with which I have experimented to create and transmit through painting what I want the observer to feel and perceive when seeing my work. 

The constant in all my paintings is the light, the liveliness of the colours and the strength of the forms".
