Scott Betz lives and works in the United States, where he has distinguished himself as an artist in the field of abstract art. He received his BFA from the University of Evansville, Indiana, followed by a Master of Science degree from Indiana State University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Tennessee. He later furthered his studies at the Alliance Française in Paris, , where he presented his first professional solo exhibition at the Foundation of the United States.

Since then, his work has been exhibited in Japan, Korea, Australia, Austria, , Lithuania, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates, as well as throughout the United States. He was included in a book on international printmaking entitled "Printmaking at the Edge", which led him to organize an exhibition bringing together 35 international printmakers in a project entitled "Further...". This initiative highlighted his recent involvement at the Dalarnas Museum in Sweden for the Falun Print Triennial.

In addition, Scott Betz is president of the American national organization "Foundations in Art: Theory and Education" (FATE), thus actively contributing to the promotion and education in the field of visual arts in the United States. His career illustrates not only his deep commitment to abstract artistic practice but also his essential role in the international artistic community, thus marking his influence and influence across various cultures and continents.
