Piotr Smogór (1975) - A painter, graphic artist and designer, graduated in 1999 from the Art Studio E. Geppert in Wroclaw and philosophy in 2000 at the University of Wroclaw, specializing in the phenomenology of painting. His main field is painting but interests also drawing, monotype and short movie.

He’s professionally graphic designer. His paintings is mainly figurative compositions, sometimes playing with the transformation of images, he using common digital medium as computer, mobile devices, etc. He created the specially term figurative_landscape, which made common space bellow characters and landscape on his canvas. In the author's work, we have the penetration of the plans and the layers of time perception, which appear the human body stories in this way, along with the limitations of its nature and the aberration as a crossing pattern culture. Sometimes the works shows reality buildings, slums and related transfer of aggression, which connects the form and content. Thematically it oscillates between socially engaged art and expression recognized in the memories, insinuations and ideas. The engagement takes the form of being in correspondence with what is here-and-now and so the activities which are the patterns of social behavior. He use new media, information flow, and the hidden facts which are undeniable attribute of being.

He has participated in several group exhibitions, in two editions of the International Festival of Arts WPA, OSTEN Biennial of Drawing in Skopje and has five individual exhibition: Unknown Stories (2010), Moment (2012), body_2 (2013), projections (2014), figurative_landscape (2016), residents affairs (collage), figures (2017), od-LUDZIE (2019)
