Mercedes Aparicio is contemporary Spanish artist, recognized for her dedication and talent. Born in Cantabria, she has been fully committed to her creative and artistic work since 1984. Throughout her career, she has exhibited in numerous cities across Spain, as well as in Switzerland, , Austria, and Paris, among others.
In 1978, Mercedes discovered her ion for art and enrolled at the School of Arts and Crafts, Kunstgewerbeschule, in Bern, where she further honed her artistic skills. By 1983-84, she began to focus more deeply on painting, and in 1985, she held her first exhibition in Santander.
Mercedes Aparicio is considered one of the Cantabrian painters with the greatest artistic potential, and her work has gained significant recognition over the years. From 2010 to 2013, she expanded her artistic knowledge by studying Art and Humanities at Arthur Findlay College in Stansted, England.
For nearly four decades, Mercedes has traversed various artistic genres between Switzerland and Spain, guided by an unwavering discipline and a creative process that she describes as a journey toward "the birth of a new being." Her multifaceted work is known for its independence from utilitarian or trendy influences, reflecting her true artistic vision and commitment.
