Jean-Marc Gardeux is a contemporary French artist whose work is driven by three interdependent questions that shape his artistic approach. First, in a world overwhelmed with visual stimuli, he asks how to create less to achieve more—simplicity to evoke complexity, emptiness to generate fullness. Second, he seeks to invite the viewer to find personal meaning in what is not explicitly stated but only suggested in his work.
