Born in Belgium in 1975, like all children, I loved to scribble and color the blank sheets.

These games have never left me.

Interested in drawing I haven't always made it my profession but my ion for more freedom.

The courses at the Academy of Fine Arts introduced me to the rigor of classical drawing through the study of still lifes and the poses of nudes.

It was at the La Louvière engraving center and in the workshop of a master engraver that I discovered the many techniques and gestures of the traditional print. The art and manner of engravings and more specifically etching which has become my favorite medium. Rich in possibility; drypoint, soft varnish, aquatints, imprints, … lend themselves to games of mixtures and superpositions.

From one state to another, between surprise and control, my plates always surprise me on the way their outcome.

My inspirations are born from what stops my gaze: a face, a body, human nature, an atmosphere, a feeling, … my works are like emotional landscapes.

We are never quite aware of our influences but we always bow to what we love; the grace of Botticelli, the delicacy of Raphaël, the dreamlikeness of Redon, the poetry of Chagall, the ambiguity of Balthus, the spontaneity of Rembrandt, the strength of Picasso,...

We also feed on what surrounds us, our encounters and our sharing.

For several years, I have participated in the annual exhibition of the Salon du Bon Vouloir.
