Né en 1975, Mokodu est un artiste peintre contemporain autodidacte. Il pratique son art dans son pays d'origine le Sénégal au début des années 1990 en tant que caricaturiste politique. En 1996, il déménage en Italie où il continue comme artiste peintre. L'artiste est spécialisé dans la peinture figurative et son travail reflète les personnes qui ont contribué au développement de la culture Africaine, Son art en général est axé sur une représentation du continent Africain à travers ses héros, ses animaux et ses paysages .Il crée des scènes très colorés où on retrouve ces éléments caractérisant et appartenant à l’Afrique.
