Emilio Mortini est un artiste sculpteur franco-italien, né le 4 août 1972 à Neuilly-sur-Seine. Il est notamment reconnu pour ses peintures et sculptures qui mêlent tradition et modernité.
Mortini travaille avec une grande diversité de matériaux : résine, aluminium, mais aussi marbre, pierre et bronze, ce qui lui permet de jouer sur les contrastes entre textures industrielles et noblesse des matières classiques.
Il fait ses débuts sur la scène artistique internationale en 1994, lorsqu’une sélection de ses sculptures est présentée à New York dans une exposition collective à la galerie Red Grooms City. L’année suivante, il organise sa première exposition en partenariat avec Léo Castelli.
Fait marquant : dès 1991, il réalise une œuvre spectaculaire – un dollar géant en bronze – commandée par le financier Bernard Madoff, à New York. Ce projet, antérieur à ses premières expositions officielles, témoigne de son insertion précoce dans des cercles influents.
Tout au long de sa carrière, Emilio Mortini a participé à de nombreuses expositions internationales, notamment à la FIAC de Paris et à celle de Monaco, affirmant ainsi sa place sur la scène artistique contemporaine.
