Glossy finish

Le défi pour moi était de réaliser une oeuvre hyperréaliste... ce qui m'a demandé plus de 300 heures de travail...

ionnée par l'art depuis ma plus tendre enfance, je pratique depuis 20 ans maintenant, d'abord la peinture l'huile, puis la sculpture et le pastel.
Ma formation commence en Belgique dans un atelier de renommée internationale de Linou Truffino puis dans l'atelier de Marianne Modave qui m'initie à l'art du portrait. Je complète ma formation pendant plusieurs années dans l'Academie des Beaux Arts de Braine l'Alleud puis de Namur.
En , j'approfondis l'art du paysage avec le grand pastelliste paysagiste Michel Breton et j'améliore la qualité de mes portraits avec le pastelliste Espagnol hyperréaliste renommé Aurelio Rodriguez LOPEZ.
Mon approche s'articule autour de la lumière et du regard. Deux éléments essentiels dans l'art du portrait car les yeux sont le miroir de l'âme. Pour les paysages je laisse mon imagination me guider vers une magie que je ne vois pas tout de suite mais qui prend sa place au fur et à mesure de de l'élaboration de mon tableau.
Ma démarche est instinctive et intuitive et je choisis mon sujet en fonction de l'émotion que je ressens. Mon intention est d'émouvoir ceux qui le regardent pour les sensibiliser à une cause qui me tient à coeur ou pour les toucher dans leur vie par l'évocation de souvenirs personnels que ce pastel fait naître en eux.
Je ne reproduis pas ce que je vois mais ce que je ressens au plus profond de moi....
L'art me parait de m'évader vers des horizons plus vastes que décrit si bien Victor Hugo quant il écrit "l'art c'est le reflet que renvoie l'âme éblouie de la splendeur du beau". Et je me sens également proche de Marie de Solemme qui nous confie que "sans désir et sans amour, aucune oeuvre d'art ne pourrait voir le jour, ils sont la sève de toutes créations".
