Francis Diez

Francis DIEZ is a painter from Cransac les Thermes department Aveyron. His studies in the Architecture/Fine Arts section allowed him to perfect his drawing and painting technique. Student of the painter Jacques BRIANTI. He participated in various exhibitions in the South of , from Perpignan to Nice in the 1980s. After an interruption of his artistic activities for more than thirty years due to his professional responsibilities, his recent retirement has allowed him to devote himself again to his artistic hobby. His personal sensitivity and his travels lead him to the themes of his series of paintings devoted to the pretty villages of his native Aveyron or to bucolic strolls in the undergrowth of autumn colors. When he is not staying in the small medieval village of Peyrusse Le Roc, the painter has been living on the island of Reunion for several years. His stay overseas led him to paint paintings highlighting tropical vegetation and Creole architecture. His painter's palette of cheerful and sunny colors also allows him to express himself through female nudes with real attention to the effects of light on silhouettes with always pleasant proportions. The artist has developed a figurative technique which combines the harmonious play of colors with accentuated contours. The majority of his paintings are oil paintings. The artist participates each year in different exhibitions between Reunion, and abroad. Internationally renowned exhibitions ArtShopping at the Carrousel du Louvre where he has participated for several years, Artbox in New York through a Swiss gallery, presentation of his paintings in Miami and Palma by a Swiss gallery.
