This work represents the first person view of someone crying in the enger seat of a car driving through a city at night. The lights and their flashes seen through the crying eyes are the protagonists of the work, the artist has astigmatism and spent a long time seeing lights with his crying eyes at night, hence the slanted shape of the flashes. The painting is entirely made with a palette knife and the lights are composed of hundreds of small strokes.
