Born in Brussels, Bettina currently works and lives in Montreal (Aude). Self-taught visual artist. Explorer of the imaginary, walker in the dream world, while questioning the environment, the living and matter, she evolves from the subjective world. Images that do not connect us to the news of the world in what it has of sensational, violent or event. Away from the agitations, another world, another reality, the essence of a dialogue with the living. Subtlety, assumed banality of the subject, refined images ... result of a plastic work, continued in the later phases, which gradually removes references, discourses, installs a specific world in itself that is renewed from series to series ... plastic approach without gratuity, demanding, reflection of a path of life. In creation, as in the game, react in complete freedom without hindrance of any kind, feel invested, get involved. "Art is a game, a game of the mind" said Dubuffet. To create, like to play, is to build a bridge between fantasy and reality through the magical efficiency of one's own libido, one of the forms of dialogue with the invisible. Thus to rediscover the thread of what we are, under the thickness of illusions, of education received, of structuring and reassuring beliefs that limit our freedoms.
