Barbara B. is a contemporary Swiss artist who began her artistic journey between 2006 and 2009, studying drawing and painting under Anne-Laure Péclard Aebischer in Lausanne. During this period, she explored various techniques, creating collages with materials such as paper, stones, sand, and even chocolate. Her work also included incorporating text into paintings and using an oil painting knife.
In 2012, Barbara discovered watercolor while attending a course with Bernard Völlmy in the south of . She further honed this technique through an internship in Begnins and continues to participate in annual workshops in Uzès.
Barbara uses primary colors, 100% cotton paper, and around thirty brushes for her watercolor paintings. She works primarily from photographs, capturing and translating images into her artwork.
