Forty years spent navigating this beautiful, challenging, and ultimately precious earthy plane. Reaching this point has brought about a profound sense of gratitude, heightened even further by a recent health scare.
A few weeks ago, I faced the daunting fear of a possible cancer diagnosis. The waiting, the uncertainty, the potential implications – it was a heavy weight to carry. Thankfully, the biopsy results brought immense relief. The diagnosis was atypical Stage 0, meaning it hadn’t spread and required no further treatment. The feeling of being granted a second chance, of not facing the immediate threat of mortality, was overwhelming.
This experience forced me to step back, to prioritize, and to truly appreciate the fragility and beauty of life. It also necessitated a temporary retreat from social media, a conscious decision to focus inwards and process everything that was happening.
Now, I'm back, feeling renewed and incredibly grateful. Thank you to everyone who reached out with kind wishes and messages. Your meant the world to me during a difficult time. My birthday was filled with joy, surrounded by flowers, cards, and yes, plenty of chocolate – small pleasures I now appreciate with even greater intensity.
